Hillside Lodge is owned and run by Stuart and Ruth Morgan. They met and fell in love in Dublin around 1993. Over the years they frequently visited the area of Connemara and decided to leave behind city life and relocate to rural Galway in 2003. They bought Hillside Lodge on the Sky Road and  set about transforming a traditional house into a stylish holiday hideaway with six individually styled guest rooms.

Ruth Morgan

Ruth is originally from Dublin and studied Printed Textile design. Her creativity and attention to detail are evident through out the house. She takes on many roles in the business as host, chef, designer and local guide.

Stuart Morgan

Stuart was born in England and has worked as a guitar technician for U2, The Killers, Sinead O’Connor and Sting. His love of music and unique artefacts from his  career  feature throughout Hillside Lodge's cool interiors. Widely travelled, Stuart brings his best hotel experiences back to the business. While home from tour, he enjoys escaping the busy lifestyle  by walking Treacle, their lovable Black Labrador.
